Pools
This rug was inspired by a small section of the Stoclet Frieze. The original design featured lots of purple and green, but I saw the design as a series of pools flowing down the center of the runner, so I used blue instead. For the upper and lower framing areas, I used Klimt's scroll design in two colors, but in one level. The gold capstone of the runner is recessed.

KLIMT COLLECTION
For many years, I wanted to do a rug collection inspired by one of my favorite artists, Gustav Klimt. I love his use of color and his wildly creative imagination. Klimt envisioned the world in a way that we have never seen before. These rugs are a translation of his work, not a copy. I hope that I have captured the essence of Klimt in these rugs.
