Adele
Inspired by Klimt's portrait of Adele Bauer-Bloch, this vibrant rug has a border of New Zealand wool with natural silk highlights, and a wool field with silk striee. The pattern comes from a section of Adele's dress. The border was designed to create a beautiful frame around a simple furniture arrangement.
75% New Zealand wool / 25% natural silk. 200 knots per sq.inch (200 knots per 2.5 sq.cm.) Hand-knotted in Nepal.

KLIMT COLLECTION
For many years, I wanted to do a rug collection inspired by one of my favorite artists, Gustav Klimt. I love his use of color and his wildly creative imagination. Klimt envisioned the world in a way that we have never seen before. These rugs are a translation of his work, not a copy. I hope that I have captured the essence of Klimt in these rugs.
